Meaningful change for a better lifeIt is courageous to ask for help and it takes determination to follow through. We each have the capability to feel good about ourselves, our relationships and our world. Identifying problems and uncovering unhealthy thought and behavior patterns can lead us to immense success and introduce us to the beginning of a more fulfilling life. My hope is to help you uncover your potential.
It is essential to find a compatible therapist, one who not only listens with compassion and optimism, but one who is also encouraging and empowering. This creates a safe environment for clients to heal, accept and grow. Therapy gives you choice. It helps you to learn and develop new ways of thinking / feeling / acting and can extinguish a pattern of behavior that is currently not working for you. Therapy is about acknowledging and accepting who we are, letting go of what we no longer need, and being present in our lives, leading us to feel more authentic, connected and alive. I aim to create a safe environment, where you can feel free to explore what you might otherwise avoid. I am dually licensed as an Independent Mental Health Practitioner and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Nebraska. I am a Registered Provider with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Division of Behavioral Health, I am a Registered Provider of Substance Abuse Services by the Nebraska Supreme Court Probation Administration, and I am trained in the Nebraska Standardized model for chemical dependency evaluations. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and am a member of The Association of Private Practice Therapists (APPT). If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please contact a physician, call 911 or go to their nearest emergency room. |
